As a small businesswoman, I know the key to placing people into
jobs is tax relief. What did the President's Economic Growth Package
mean for Wisconsin? It eliminated the marriage penalty tax for 750,000
couples. Half a million families benefited from the child tax credit;
allowing parents to save for their children's education.
But I will not be satisfied until every American that
wants work is able to find work. As a member of the State Assembly, I
voted to eliminate the tax on Social Security, voted to freeze property
taxes for homeowners, authored property tax relief for veterans, and
cut the state's gas tax. I have a consistent record of supporting tax
relief for Wisconsin residents.
The American tax code is too complex and it stifles job
creation. In Congress, I support making the President's tax relief
permanent for small businesses, married couples, family farmers, and
the growing investor class. I also support repealing the Tax Code and
replacing it with a fairer, simpler system.
